SmartDC: The Rotterdam Data Portal, the largest carrier-neutral data center in the South Holland region. The company is expanding and wants to cool their new suites with the latest technology of Air@Work.

The SmartDC data center is located in the monumental Van Nelle factory in Rotterdam and is known for its ‘box-in-box-principle’. Customers can go to SmartDC for a rack up to an entire suite.

Each suite has a mini data center with separate cooling, power distribution, VESDA-detection system and Argonite extinguishing system. The suites are all Tier-3+ with N+1 cooling, N +1 Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and N+1 generators.

SmartDC has the capacity to grow to 12 megawatts (MW) output. The Air@Work data center cooling ensures a reliable and energy efficient cooling of the new suites.

With a PUE-cooling 1.05, SmartDC is now one of the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly data centers in Europe.
